The artist
Marc Eagles
Watercolour & acrylic artist capturing landscapes, historical sites, and abandoned homesteads on paper and canvas.
Growing up in the Sackville/Tantamar region, Marc Eagles developed a deep love of nature and history that shapes every painting he creates. That connection to place — to the light, the land, and the stories held in old structures — is what drives him to the easel.
His realistic style draws the viewer in completely. You are there: feeling the sun on your face, smelling the breeze, and settling into the quiet of the scene. Each brushstroke is placed with intention, preserving a fleeting moment in time.
Since 2022, Marc has been building his collection "Covered Bridges of the Past" alongside paintings of abandoned homes and forgotten landscapes — works that summon memories of wistful, simpler times for many who encounter them.
Inspiration & influences
The Tantamar Marshes
The sweeping tidal marshes and wide Maritime skies of the Sackville region are a constant source of light, mood, and quiet drama.
History in the landscape
Covered bridges, weathered barns, and forgotten homesteads carry the weight of generations. Marc paints them before they disappear.
The realist tradition
A commitment to honest observation — painting what is actually there, not what is expected — keeps the work grounded and alive.
